I’ve had the 880 for about two days. When plugged into my car outlet, I am hearing a frequent clicking sound coming from the speaker. This is not an operational sound, more like random sound or interference. I have not had the unit long enough to know for certain, but I don’t think it is happening when the GPS is not plugged in (in other words, I don’t seem to get this sound on battery power). Garmin Nuvi 880
Got the Nuvi 880 today, and it’s pretty nice. But it could use two improvements in the speech recognition. If you say “Find Favorites”, you are presented with your favorites with the onscreen ones numbered. But you don’t HAVE to say a number — at that point you can just say the name of the Favorite, like “Jim’s House”, and it finds it. Very nice!
